About the developer
Although being entirely new to Pokémon, I decided to pick up Champions when it launched earlier this year. Being a long time watcher of Wolfe Glick videos I was a bit… overconfident when it came to battling. I was initially overwhelmed by the amount of information a player is expected to hold in their head mid-battle and found myself losing to Pokémon and strategies I had no experience with.
I simply wanted something that put move, ability, and damage calculation information in front of me during battle so I could make more informed decisions about the opponent instead of just guessing. As a graduate student with a background in software engineering, this idea eventually grew into the full web app you're using now! I hope that you find this tool useful whether you're a new player like me or a long time veteran.
